1.2 Derbyshire Services for Schools is Derbyshire County Council’s portal for all traded and discretionary services and training available to schools, academies and other education settings. 

1.3 This notice explains how personal information is collected, processed and managed by Derbyshire Services for Schools.

2. Purpose of Processing

2.1 Information provided will only be processed for the purpose of trading activities for schools, academies and other education settings. 

3. Data Controller

3.1 Derbyshire County Council’s Traded Services team is the Data Controller of all personal data provided to, collected by or for, or processed in connection with Derbyshire Services for Schools.  

4. What information will be collected?

4.1 To create an account, you must provide your name, job title, place of employment and email address. User accounts are then linked to your place of employment (school, academy or other education setting).

4.2 If you are attending a training course booked through the Derbyshire Services for Schools system, then you or your employer will need to submit your name, job role, place of work and an email address to secure your place.      

4.3 We collect all data you provide, post or upload to the Derbyshire Services for Schools system and log usage data when you visit or access our service pages or content. 

5. Why do we collect this data? 

5.1 Your data will be used to help you make purchases and view tailored content on the site. For example, your job role information will allow you to purchase relevant training courses.

5.2 We will contact you via email and messages posted through the site to keep you informed of changes and updates to the Derbyshire Services for Schools website and any purchases you have made.

5.3 Unless you choose to opt-out, you will also receive our newsletter, alerting you to new offers, services and training opportunities.          

5.4 You may change your communications preferences at any time using the My Profile tool on the Derbyshire Services for Schools website.

6. Who will your information be shared with?

6.1 Your personal data is only visible and shared with Derbyshire Services for Schools System Administrators and is only used in relation to purchasing and site activities.  

7. What happens if you do not provide information?

7.1 You will need to submit basic information to gain access to the site as a user. You can browse the public portal ( without a user account.

8. How will your information be kept secure?

8.1 We implement security safeguards designed to protect your data and, alongside Frontline Data, monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. Traded information is stored on the secure, password protected Derbyshire Services for Schools system and access is limited to named site administrators.  

9. Your rights and obligations

9.1 We retain your personal data while your account is active or as needed to provide you Services. This includes data you or others provided to us.

9.2 At any time, you can request that we delete or amend the personal data we hold about you. If you choose to cancel your access to the Derbyshire Services for Schools system, your personal data will generally stop being visible to others within 24 hours.
