This is the annual gathering for Forest School Practitioners in Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Forest School Day is an opportunity for Forest School Practitioners to come together and continue their professional development. There will be a selection of workshops to choose from to develop new skills, deepen knowledge or discover new activities, information/updates and plenty of opportunity to share ideas and network with other Forest School Practitioners whilst joining in with demonstrations and 'have a go' activities.
Comments from Forest School Day 2018: ''Really enjoyed whole day, well organised and delivered. Lots of food for thought and FUN!'' ''Lots of practical ideas. Loved the afternoon format, plenty of time to network and explore areas of interest'' ''Super tips for mindfulness. Excellent ideas for woodwork activities. Top tips for using wood tools''.
By the end of the course, delegates will:
- have had opportunity to network and share learning with other Forest School Practitioners from around the county
- have learned new skills, activities or knowledge to utilise in their Forest School practice.
A large part of this day will involve activities outdoors whatever the weather so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing (waterproofs, flat sturdy shoes, hat, etc.). Please notify the course organiser of any specific needs you have. We recommend that you bring a camping chair if you would be more comfortable than sitting on the floor. We also recommend that you bring a camping mug so you can take your drinks outdoors. A packed lunch will be provided. Please bring along any additional snacks and drinks you may require (being outside a lot can be hungry work!).
The cost of this course is £50 per delegate, includes packed lunch and all workshops.
