Maximising the inclusion and achievement of children with Special Educational Needs
The Support Service for Special Educational Needs aims to ensure the inclusion and achievement of children with special educational needs and the building of expertise within schools in Derbyshire, in line with current local and national initiatives.
Our core role is to provide specialist teaching, advice and support delivered in school by a teacher from SSSEN. This will give learning opportunities on at least a weekly basis to children with SSSEN allocated on EHC Plans/GRIPs/EY SEN IF who meet service criteria. Additional costed interventions training can be purchased by schools through courses and through bespoke training.
